Jany Lee

Jany’s passion in life is best articulated in her devotion to anything design-related. Ever since she was a young child, she has always drawn inspiration from her surroundings, whether it was something as simple as her grandmother’s ceramic bowl or as exotic as the places and pieces from her world travels. Born in Seoul but raised most of her life in Canada, she has also lived in Australia and New Zealand, and traveled extensively throughout Europe, South America and Asia.

Jany’s special talent for transforming empty rooms into a beautiful home is reflected in her unique approach to making these spaces her client's personal haven. Her vision is to create simple, yet elegant places where one can rejuvenate and relax in their own sanctuary. Inspired by her passion for nature and different cultures, she combines expressive color with soft, organic shapes. Her love of form is reflected in the work, which balances scale, texture, and function. The finished product is always original and personalized, filtering a variety of influences through each client. Her approach is to bring a vibrant energy to each project, and to tell a different story for each space.

Recently, Jany was thrilled to be the only Dallas resident to make the final cut of 10 finalists (chosen from over 8700 applicants) to be a contestant on HGTV's Design Star. The series aired to over 20 million viewers nationwide. She has made several appearances on Good Morning Texas offering unique design ideas. Her range of experience includes residential and commercial interiors, condominiums and other small spaces, furnished suites and restaurants. Her firm has recently completed a Japanese restaurant in Canada, a boutique nail salon in Austin, Texas and a bubble tea cafe in Dallas, Texas.
